Timing not suitable. I believe Most SAHM are 'free-er' during daytime when kids are in school. Night is dinner/family/coaching time......
Heard some salons quite flexible in working hours can accommodate,. plus.. that timing is when tai tais more free also rite.. meaning manpower shortage.. -

If no money, then how to have more kids? Nappies, milk, education all need money. Same for all the medical expenses from go hospital give birth till don't know how many years down the road. :moneyflies:
Married without kids - lifestyle change - yes,but unlikely to be too drastic.Oppsgal:

Once married lifestyle change.
After married, give birth to kids, lifestyle will change again. Have to wake up wee hours to feed baby, have to change nappies.
Married with kids - change will be big. But with each child, more adjustment needed & logistically more & more challenging. Unless u have unlimited resources/help.
I'll just use myself as example (not sure if it's applicable)
- 2 kids. After tahaning for first few years, life has become easier - financially & physically. Also now easier to go out with hubby & leave kids alone at home for a few hours at night, plan longer trips as family, can bring my parents to short overseas trip etc
Frankly, at this point, I can have more kids.....but I am not willing to forgo current lifestyle/convenience. I dun want to go thru whole cycle of diaper, night feed etc. i want to go trips & not be home-bound etc (ok, I'm one who is rather hands-on with my own kids, I can't really let go to others). Financially, will be tighter again. I would consider all these as lifestyle changes with more kids.......no? -
Salute to FTWMs. I had come to conclusion long long ago. It is the hardest job under the sun.

If you are a SAHM, then it's not.... but if you are a FTWM you can't even have a decent day off on Sunday cos your FW helper is having hers.... in this case, a FTWM is a worse job than a FW domestic helper... this could just be one of the reasons that the yuppies generation are delaying their motherhood....

People expect everything to be laid out on a platter. I luurve PM's riposte during the televised session last week to the young man who said he didn't want to get married. Well, our parents had far fewer resources and safety nets, never stopped them from having hopes and dreams and daring to try right?

I understand that there are some households with elderly/disabled family members but for the majority of us is it really so hard to look after our own children for one day. Yes, I am sometimes tired on Sundays and would love to take a break but they are my children and this is just a short period of my life. Before we know it they won't want to spend time with us and we will regret complaining when they were young or \"outsourcing\" to the maid so we could take a rest.
There are millions of women all over the world who are FTWM and do not have the luxury of a maid. Let's count our blessings. -

If you assume that your child wakes up at 6:30am (which is by no means early), then in order to have the recommended 10 hours of sleep for a lower primary child, he/she needs to be in asleep by 8:30pm. I leave work at exactly 6pm so I am home by 7pm; that gives me an hour & a half with my children before they go to bed. When my boys go to primary school they will be up at 6am so it will be even worse.3Boys:

Yes agree, especially for the FTWMs with little family support for logistics and education :salute:
Not forgetting the SAHM club...once capable workers, now capable stay at home mums contributing to the society in our own ways whether recognized by society or not... Don't think we bother about that haha
