My ex-maid got her fellow friends to pass her things in the letterbox and to my surprise, it is MONEY! Don't know where the money is from.

So, do not let your maid have the letterbox key.

You will know if there are letters for her.
Anyway, she shouldn't have it in the first place as there are important mails that shouldn't let her have access to it.

I don give my maid my letterbox key. She only has access to the gate key. They are very fond of passing things around scretly, like a thief. I just cannot trust them...

We have no letterbox keys. She doesn't even bother getting the mail now. But I know for sure she reads my opened mail. So I've since filed them all up and new helper is going to get a written rule not to touch my things on my study tables. This one has been told but still conveniently forgets sometimes.

kiasimom, actually it was our agency who told us we would be blacklisted. Sigh stupid us for not reporting to the police after 2 of the maids ran away.

I heard from my old neighbour that she came back to spore with her baby but was chase away by \"her husband\" legal wife.

That's a great no-no and they are told again and again (almost like nagging) but sometimes people don't listen

I'm an organized mess kinda person so I can find my things and KNOW when my things have been touched. No point asking/confronting coz the usual reply would be \"I don't know\"...or \"I didn't\".

My point is we can never be too careful, just lock away the things you don't want prying eyes to fall on. My kids understand and respect this, don't see why a grown person is unable to do so!

The trouble is my previous maid is not at all pretty (big boobs thot)....and her boyfriend is a chinese \"lao ah beng\" sigh.... she can work very well you know? so wasted.....
