What I heard was that Friday the muslim maybe need to fast or something so Thursday night no training.. for them to have better rest or something to that effect..

Anyway.. got training on Thursday night before..

outfield.. it was dark already.. but not very late lah..

If I remember correctly, it is not about fasting but something to do with their spiritual world on fridays...and thursday night 'crossover' to friday...I not sure if I interpreted what I was told correctly.

I'm not sure of the exact reason also..

just that it seems like something related to muslim and their religion.. and not bcoz of other \"beliefs\".........

Can't recall by then if we had night trainings on Thurs.
d version I heard has prolly been thro many mouths.
dat's why me asked earlier if anyone can verify d Tekong lady at d jetty story.

u referring to trg in general across various locations or just P Tekong?
My experience is d units I was in hv nvr make exception to Thur nights for conduct of trainings n exercises.
Some included Muslim soldiers, so I m :? by Nebbermind n limlim's posts mentioning religious practices/beliefs as d reason for suspension of Thur night trainings.

I had a fellow trainee who was a real mama’s boy.
He wld set his alarm clock at least ½ hr earlier than reveille so dat he cld hv first go at washing up.
Problem was there were many others sleeping in d same bunk.
His alarm clock was loud n so his inconsiderate behaviour was disturbing everyone else who wants to catch extra winks.
I used to stay up late with another 3 mates n we were in beds just across fr his. One nite, we reset his alarm clock to 2 am n then carried his bed to d parade square. :evil: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
