      MandyMummy:

True. Could be due to a lack of suitable teachers and the skills required to do well in the subject.
But yet, at A level, it is quite a common humanities subject. My opinion has been that if RV wants to limit or phase out triple sciences combination at O level, it should then strengthen its humanities. One way is to offer a solid economics programme at O level.

RV has alway been pretty innovative with a focus on value-addedness. Maybe they are thinking about it already. Must have enough teachers though. Heard there is still a shortage of econs teachers.

Hi there, it is true that triple science can be taken at a levels-I am currently taking this subject combi.

However, not many schools offer trip sci in Singapore due to contrasting subject policy. The idea is Bio, chem, physics and math at H2 and H1 humanitis (almost certainly econs, there just isn't enough people to form a class with another humanities, and honestly H1 history or geog sounds much tougher).

Nonetheless, there are several requirements take trip sci, most important one being able to qualify to take 4h2. Also, it's a little bit more difficult than the average 3h2 and 1h1 (imagine taking everything + poorest science at h2)

Workload/stress is another problem. Apparently it's akin to taking H3 from J1. There has been quite a few seniors who had to downgrade/drop a subject.

Having said that, if science rules your life and you're willing to study for it, trip science is a really good combi! It also offers backup for 90 point UAP! I've enjoyed it so far 🙂

Oh, triple SPA is annoying 🙂 All the subjects have different rules, no chance of a one size fits all!

                    I have some questions.

What is RV’s school fees for PR and Citizens respectively?

How are the ipad program going? What are the benefits and negatives that parents have discovered?
