      Musings:
      Hi Terry

My DS is in P1. Actually the school keeps the workbooks in school. The kids only bring the textbooks for Maths and Chinese daily to school. On days where there is social studies or music or health education, they bring those textbooks. The exercise book for Tingxie is brought back once a week for parents' signature. Don't recall any other exercise books - mainly they do worksheets and file them in school and they bring the files once in a while. So the school does what it can do reduce the number of books to be brought on a daily basis.

Having said that, the bag does get heavy when the kids pack in water bottle, lunch box, books for silent reading or bring back books from school library or bring art materials etc.

Also just a tip, it is useful to get a bag big enough to fit an A4 size folder. The school issues many circulars/letters etc weekly to parents and the kids can just pop the pieces of paper into the A4 folder and they need not worry about losing them or crumpling them.
      Hi musing,
DD's form teacher do not allow them to use the locker outside the classroom
she said there is actually nothing much to put in school, but DD bag is really heavy for a P1 kid.
when i pack her bag and take out books which i think are not needed, she will started to get upset and said ALL need to bring! ๐Ÿ˜“

        Hi all,

There is actually a space under the table to place their textbooks. It will cater to pupils whose lockers are full of books (not always the case), and/or to those whose teacher do not allow students to use the lockers.

That is because some kids abuse the use of the lockers by hiding stuff which they do not want their parents to see/know in the lockers. Little black sheep.

My 2 little black sheep hide homework, communication letters, things they buy from the bookshop in school. I saw lots and lots of stuff in some of the lockers when I go for parent teachers meeting. Am also not sure how they accumulate so much things. ๐Ÿ•บ

Believe my DD is the only p6 (in Singapore) who does not have much school homework. Some days even none. :slapshead:
