Next week, PSLE week... but thankfully, because our girls are in the PM session, they still get to go to school. But when it goes single session, guess the students of other levels will have to go off?

That is a lot of days to go off right?
from what I understand , there is no school entirely regardless of the levels.. as the teachers are engaged for PSLE marking. so DD1 will be going to student care :please:

Indeed, when PL released the year calendar... I did notice there are more than 7 days where there aren't any school which is why I am keeping my fingers cross that CCL gets extended to 12 years.

        Kiss:

For PSLE marking days (15 - 18 Oct), yes the entire school goes off, regardless of levels. Next week, I think the school has scheduled a field trip out to the Peranakan Museum.

I know!! During my staff meeting just now, I brought this up with my school leaders. CCL should be extended beyond 6 yrs of age. It is not like when the child turns 7 yrs old, suddenly the child doesn't fall ill, or need to be taken care of.

I misread  , yup for next week they have the trips and 3 P1 classes for each day. school still carries on for the other levels i think and they might other activities also? :?

:hi5: exactly! My jaw dropped when I saw there were so many school closures , I am thankful that I have enough days to take leave if need be but what about others :faint: although some local companies do provide additional 5 days for family sick days but that is a minority.

Hopefully they think this through :boogie:

There is a camp in Nov as well, are you letting your DD go for it? my DD1 was thankful that the dates didnt clash with our family trip and chatting more of the camp than our first travel trip out together  Jealous Mummy

Ohh... a camp in Nov. Even for the P1s? Or is this the 2nd installment of the English enrichment that took place in June? Hmm... I think I will not sign her up if this is a different camp.
I don't think the sch bus operates during school holidays and I can't take off from school. I still need to report for work after school closure in Nov, all the way till 1 Dec so getting to the camp and coming back will be a problem for my girl.

P1s are still safe... will not have that many activities during the school hols so once the sch hols start, it is quite safe to say the kiddos do not have to come back so any family plans for holidays should not clash. 🙂

think it is from 28 - 30 Nov, held by the PL Methodist Church. Timing is 8.30 - 5pm i think. Amt is $30, these are what I can remember since the paper is at home. Did your girl pass it to you?

                Hi Kiss, Krazy,

Ohh....is there a camp 28-30Nov  ? My DD has not passed me any letter regarding this camp yet...
Is this the English enrichment programme or is it a different program?

                Thanks 😄

                  Kiss and Niseko

I asked my girl about the camp last Friday. Her reply was that she wasn't keen to go and hence didn't take the notification form.

Been out of town and back.

Checked with DD1, she took the form as the principal talked about it and because it is a camp as well. Yet to submit the form though.

Yup! am thinking where to bring DD1 for children's day 😄
