Yah, mine in the 70s. No grades/scores on my cert. But 1980 started having scores.

As long as passed, can just continue to the affiliated sec school. Contented liao.

I can't remember if there was any PSLE cert given during my year.

Before T-score days, there were grades given. Perhaps you were in affiliated secondary school you did not notice. For non affiliation ones, using the grades estimation to put in 4-6 choices of schools.

PSLE cert is given before T-score days as it is a leaving certificate.
I have absolutely no results slip given to us. We were only asked to go to school to be given our PSLE certs.

And have to choose yr sec schools six month before exams. A lot didn't wanna take risk so even top students didn't choose the very top schools at that time. Better distribution in a way.

Wasn't that the practice in the 1990s? In the 1980s, my friends were still just sharing yesterday that they put in their secondary school selections only AFTER the results out.

I know definitely in the mid 2000s, they'd changed back to this similar system (after psle results).

What was the practice in the 1990s? :? I thought all along the selection of sec schools is based on PSLE results? Until of course they implemented this DSA thingy...

Have - I have my PSLE cert! But only shows name, shows \"passed\" (obviously - or else how to have cert!), school's name not on, only as a school embossed seal. No Birth Cert/NRIC number - how to certify it's ours, har? haha. But got full NRIC name lah.
Then i'm younger than phankao šŸ•ŗ . My year has aggregate, a bit blur, never ask and dont know how it was calculated. I dont even know that there is an aggregate till i got my result slip. It definitely not calculated the way

there was no grades, but I think there was a piece of paper stuck at the back of my report bk saying I pass psle. Think there was also a cert.

I got really bad feeling that the whole PSLE will be scrapped. By then, will this encourage more babies?

In the 80s, the PSLE score was maximum 450, I think.

there was a result slip, everyone went back to school on that result day to take the result slip, the one that u need to tear along the sides...

then after that go enrol in sec sch... some time later the sch will inform u to get the psle cert frm sch again...

My PSLE cert is pre-printed kind and the other info is typed in with typewiter one, leh. Use of computerised slips not common yet then.
