Anyway the Edusave Bursary letter should be quite useless to many people. Now I understand why someone was asking for scholarship at lower primary in another thread now.

If you check the letter carefully, Edusave Scholarship is for P5 and P6 students while P1-P4 will receive the Edusave Bursary based on eligibility.

CSC, did you receive both Merit Bursary and Edusave Scholarship letter on the same day?

I also receive this fairly useless bursary letter for p6, leh. And that was yesterday. Usually we receive this about 1 week before we receive any award letters. We have not received anything else. You mean for p6s, you already receive the scholarship/good-progress-award letter already?

Even when our kids were below p6, we only receive the good-progress-award letters asking us to collect cheque like only a few days before Christmas. You all receive so early one, ah? Maybe our constituency - that badminton associaton MP, slower.

ya lor, are you sure you have received the P5 / 6 Edusave scholarship letter already? Those letters that came to the mailbox yesterday are merit bursay. Note that if you are awarded P5/6 Edusave Scholarship, you will also get Merit Busary award, so all in you should received two letters and I think the one that came in yesterday was the Merit Bursay letter only.

Not true. My P1 DS got his Merit Bursary award letter 1 week ago while my P6 DD only got her Edusave Scholarship just 2 days back. She did not get any Merit Bursary letters at all.

We only received one letter (envelope has orange colour) for the Edusave Scholarship for my P5 son and one (blue colour) for Edusave Bursary for my P3 dd. Both received about the same time I think, because we only check letterbox every 2-3 days. No more bursary letter for my ds leh!

I believe the practice and timing may vary in different constituencies. So hang on tight! The letter could be on its way to you..........

Madam KS, if the child is a recipent of the EDUSAVE SCHOLARSHIP, he or she will be not be entitled to the EDUSAVE MERIT BURSARY. Sorry, I think the MERIT BURSARY is for P1 to P6 but those who already got the SCHOLARSHIP will not get the BURSARY.

SO , to answer your question, my girl only received a white envelope with the words EDUSAVE SCHOLARSHIP (no mistake about it - not bursary)clearly printed on a inverted orange triangle.

For EDUSAVE MERIT BURSARY , there's a response slip where you need to reply if you are eligible for it.

Very confusing , isn't it?? Yeah..it took me quite a while to digest all these info. And then, I was waiting for the letter for my Sec one son - only to realise that , yet another set of criterion suffice for independent schools. That's another story.... :lol:

There was a letter for my p4 dd; white envelope but the words Edusave something (which I forgot).


Dd yet to open it and so, don't know what is it. Anyway, she got lousy grades and so unlikely to be good news. :roll:

The bursary's usefulness depends on the recipent's financial ability.
I know that my sister-in-law finds it a great joy and blessing to receive this bursary for her son. To her, it means pocket money for her son and allowances to buy textbooks and uniforms.

This year, my nephew will be receiving $650 of Edusave Scholarship for doing so well in his exams.

That is definitely USEFUL!

I know that my sister-in-law finds it a great joy and blessing to receive this bursary for her son. To her, it means pocket money for her son and allowances to buy textbooks and uniforms.

Why 650 ? thot the max is 400 ?
