I totally agree that stickers are not necessary. But it looks like some schools, like Janet's ds school, are over-doing it. Not only they have stickers, they even restrict the number of calculators / e dictioneries to bring into the exam hall.
Stickers is not necessary if your child's calculator is the same model as his or her classmates. As long as you are using those models approved & recommended by the MOE. -
Help! Any idea is ez link card required for identification? My ds just lost his.

TOUCHWOOD. Nobody expects the unexpected to happen, right?

A friend of mine told me her daughter's spectacle frames cracked suddenly (of all days) on the 1st day of her PSLE.
Both of my son's calculators are approved models. What's wrong bringing both? :stompfeet: -

Many students do have a spare pair of specs.

Janet, you go and ask the school why such policy of one calculator is in place when other schools allow students to bring in more than one calculator. Challenge only, ok? Don't make police report over this.

Hi Mummies,
Want to check with you how many hours are your dc sleeping these days? My dd is feeling tired and keep wanting to sleep. She is still sleeping. She slept at 12 last night. We woke her at 9.30 am this morning. After breakfast and when she settled down to do her work at 10.15 am, she felt tired and went back to sleep. She is still sleeping now. Looks like the morning is gone. She has tuition in the afternoon. Looks like today is gone. Counting down to 4 days to PSLE! Thanks! -

My son was sleeping a lot after the prelims. Even now, he refuses to wake up in the morning. He is always tired and lethargic. The other reason is bcos he is not feeling well these few days. But he would always ask to sleep too.
He just had Chinese tuition and then last group tuition for Math later. -

I am not sure if my child wants to sleep more and get excessive rest before the real battle. My dd slept for 10 hours on Friday as I kept her at home and 9.5 hours last night but still not sufficient.

On average days, she sleeps for 7 hours on weekdays with occassion 1-2 hour afternoon nap but she catches up with her 10 hour of sleep on weekends. I calculate before...her average daily sleep is about 8-9 hours. Thought that amount is sufficient for a 12 year old.
Hope my dd is not in denial state...as to keep sleeping to avoid the reality that the real battle is here. All her teachers said that she is ready for exam so we try not to push and upset her. But she is really lax (and bochap?) so we do not know if we need to get worry or to push her a little. We can only pray for the best now. -
my dd also have a same symptome, just feel sleepy, keep said need more sleep, headache, eye tearing, eyebrows area feel pain… when i bring her see doctor, doctor mention her sleeping hrs is enough… from 9.30pm-6am… i don’t know what can i help her???

Probably The kids are tired. DS also similar 3-4 weeks ago. Seem tired & want to sleep more than usual so I kinda go easy with him. This week he is counting down to exam.....he can't wait to start & get over it. But at the same time, DS now seem more motivated & will ask to set time for his studies (but say only. Eat snake here & there
). Actually I also xian Liao..... so just kept reminding him one more week & he can play play play. I'm sure our kids are keen to know how well they can do & trying hard, so i just remind DS now is the time, no point regretting afterwards.
 For me, many MIL relatives 'watching' cos I am SAHM (ie. do nothing DIL). So for personal & selfish reason, I do hope he does well so that I won't kena 'suan' .... Esp I need to face MIL whole day long.....

I have emailed the school regarding this issue. But I won't make police report. At most call MOE if school doesn't give me reply by Monday.
