      Hi KSP,

Where did u hear this from? Agree w/ wmd and also think its impossible. 30% is about 140 pupils. …that’s a huge number.
I was told it was on TODAY newspaper a few days after PSLE result released.

Considering every year about 70 girls end up in RGS and another 25-30% go to NYGH it may be true that this year about 140 girls obtained >265 is possible. As for >270…could be true if the overall standard has been pulled up by the ‘difficult’ math paper.

Does anyone know if this year’s average at RGPS is still 235? Hope it is higher this year.

          wmd,

Which secondary school is your dd going to? I assume she was offered DSA into NUSH? Is she taking that up or appealing to RGS?
          Hi turquoise,

my daughter only got a DSA offer from NYGH, not NUSH and RGS, she refused NYGH as she did not like Chinese language, and waited for PSLE result until 26 Nov 2009. finally, she achieved her goal as expected.

She put the 1st chiose of S1: RGS

              Hi wmd

Thanks. Seems like the average has dropped abit. Not so good with maths..............I guess when they say average it means majority get around 233?

That's good that your dd waited for her PSLE results to get into her ideal school. Congrats! I assumed she was offered NUSH because she obtained Platinum in the Math Olympiad.

Do that many girls get into NYGH? At 25-30%, that's more than 100 per year.

Is this for the whole cohort, including GEP classes, or just the mainstream classes?

I heard RGPS has done very well in this year PSLE. More than 30% got 270 and above. :rahrah:

Perhaps, it was 30% of the GEP girls who scored 270 and above. This seems more likely than 30% of the entire school population. I heard from a friend that this year's RGPS GEPpers did extremely well, with 13 in the top 15 list (at least 277) and many others scoring above 270.

                      Cheers 😄

                        Hi RGPS parents

I need some advice on CCA at RGPS. Hope someone can help me.

Do you know what is the commitment level required for band members in RGPS? Will the child get to choose the instrument they want? If there is a choice, may I know which instrument is less taxing?

Any idea which CCA requires the least practice days yet have a high chance of using it for DSA?
