I have a student who use to attend lessons there and to be honest, for 3+ years she hardly learnt anything. Her hand position was not corrected right from the start (I checked with her and her mother whether the previous teacher had corrected her and they said no). It may well be the teacher she had was not up to scratch so who knows, there may be good ones there, but generally, the ones who end up in a school are mainly foreign teachers and those new to the field or old ones who are loyal to the school. You will realise teacher turnover in schools are high. So if you are planning to send your child for individual lessons I’d suggest going for private instead of a school unless you have a specific teacher in mind whom you know will do a good job.

from ur reply I think u r also a music teacher.r u near to toa payoh area or u suggest a good piano teaching centre/teacher near to lorong 2 toa payoh .
We really like to enrol our kids to the class.

just to share…i sent my son to the one at houg and to be frank, i do not find the teacher good…cos she jus follow the motion every week, n never correct him on his techniques…n worse is, they will have a combined class at the end of each term…where almost 20+ kids gather together in a room for 1.5 hrs…n it was like a madhouse…with the kids gog in n out of the class and the parents waiting outside allowing their younger and old kids to play with their siblings separated by a door…i doubt anyone benefit during that 1.5 hrs…

Anyone kids are student at Cristofori Bedok Point learning piano? I was told that they do not allow make up lesson if your kid is absent from lesson without provide any proof document for being absent like MC certificate…but thought the application we signed is eligible for 1 make up lesson per term.
Thus was told by their new Manager in charge of that branch.
Anyone have such experience ?
