For Compre, I have been discussing with my DS and asking to answer in full. He doesn't like to write, So we usually read a passage, I ask him questions and see if he can answer with the details.
I find that he has similar issues in both MT and English, so the problem is usually not with understanding, but a lack of completeness in responding. -
