yes! I am now the owner of a 3rd? hard Mazda MX5. Chilli red, tuned for performance and with a very nice carbon spoiler. The previous owners were sport car enthusiasts. Previous owner looked wistful but smiled as he passed the keys to me. "Take good care of my friend here, ok?"
Too bad, but he’s emigrating in 2 weeks time. Probably a job posting.
It is such a low and light handling machine. I love the way the turbo kicks in. I love driving it around. It’s love at first sight. I paid cash upfront, wrote the cheque. Ahhh. Feels good. You know what feels better than paying for a new car? Paying for a new car in cash and knowing you have more to spare.
My old buddy Chai who’s in the business had inspected and ok-ed it for me. "Very nice ride, my friend! But not very good for carrying fish home!".
I’ll have to explain the purchase to the wife, when she finds out. Hmmm. We’ve been really both so busy we’ve not had time to talk to one another much. She’s been on and on about the kids ( my ridiculously over-smart daughter and very-average son) and her new job (title: director of something-and-something-in-some-bureaucratic position) and visiting her mother.
Still, I think it should be ok… I’ll have to settle the parking arrangements for the condo too. I’ve not spent much money on myself for the past 10 years anyway. No new computers, no branded stuff, no hi-fis. I’ve been a good boy, I deserve this! Besides, the COE is only for another 3 years, considering depreciation and all costs involved, it’s incredibly cheap.
Well, I think I’ll break the news to my wife later…how to put it…

this one is writing from point of view of dave. how am I to know if his wife is doing various 'activities' outside? Maybe I shall write next time on the point of view of another woman who suspects her man is having an affair.
besides, title character been quite kuai right? work hard, go home, play with kids. only thing is he likes looking at that female colleague and gets along well with her and notices her dressing. He also is a bit depressed and so bought a sportscar so that he can make his life more interesting.
The descent has started but now still quite 'safe' .
OT a bit.

long time ago there was this ch 8 drama starring Jacelyn Tay and a few others (maybe Terence Cao???) about this 4 couples having affairs with one another and swapping husbands?
I am morally in real life opposed to that kind of scenario. What a mess.
