Hi buds,
is me. My dd is only 15 mths and i got some questions.
- At what age should i start her on the basic phonics?
- I am thinking of getting the ladybird jane serise, do you think should i get it and actually i dont really understand how to use it.
- My phonics is not good, any help can i get so i can teach my dd myself?
- any advice are welcome too

Personally i recommend the introducing of the aaays... beeees and the- At what age should i start her on the basic phonics?

beginning letter sounds to the children @ 18mths. However, if you find
that your child is receptive of lessons earlier than that, why not.chuaeil:

start a collection of good children's books that she can relate to and will
enjoy reading them over and over again. Exposure to reading will help
develop the interest and provides sound knowledge (auditory) to pick up

Basically, just read a lot to your child. Read with expression and your- any advice are welcome too
stories will come alive. Listening to songs will also help. Like when she
is playing, turn on children's music or rhymes for her to listen to... For
parents who find they are not sure if they can tell stories well enough,
bookstores also sell books accompanied with audio CDs.chuaeil:

i read that edufarm is using letterland for phonics. as i read from this thread that letterland is good, another qns is whether edufarm teach it well? cuz the wkend class is only next blok and its cheap! save a lot cuz i initially wanted to enrol my 3yr in ICR. ur feedback is appreciated
