Hi, I have another question on S&T (from Hokkien Prelim 2011), should we use


\"Much to his displeasure, John found out that he was disqualified from the contest\"

Or

\"Much to John's displeasure, he found out that he was disqualified from the contest\"

Hi ET-PH,
I would like to find out more about the \"Hokkien Prelim 2011\" you mentioned. Is this a compilation of the 5 affiliated Hokkien Association schools's Prelim papers? May I know how to get hold of one copy of this?
I asked my friend whose child is in 南桥 P6 now, she said the school did not ask her son to buy any sort of compilation of the 5 schools' prelim papers.

So, Jun Min was studying in his room, then his friends asked him to join the for a game of soccer. As Jun Min was studying first, the answer is still 2.

Can you explain that? Because I think Jun Min was studying, then his friends came, so if \"all day\" is removed, it should still be 2. :? :scratchhead:

Answer key:-- The damaged roof is repaired by the workers.

DD ans;- The damaged roof is being repaired by the workers.

ans is 4) were, because of the word \"had\" means the sentence is in past tense. so u can only choose plural and past tense.
