We went on F&E to Blue Mountain. Beautiful scenery.

There are 2 transport operators with a fixed route.

We enjoyed the trekking and missed the last stop timing. Luckily the other transport operator gave us a free ride back to the starting point.

Depends what you have in mind by CBD. The actual Sydney CBD is a business district where I go on business trips 😞 The main road there is called George Street.
Another main street in the CBD is Castlereagh Street where the branded high end designer boutiques and jewelry store are located.
Then there is also Hay street. Sydney is a big city, so CBD is pretty big 🤷

i like to stay at Darling harbour for the many restaurants choices. Particularly like location of Parkroyal at Darling harbour as it is near QVB! Shopping! And of course it is by the CBD area where I can walk to work 🙂

There are many touristy areas that you can consider, eg near the opera house, Syndey Harbour, and of course the well known kings cross :yikes: :rotflmao:

Hi, can anyone suggest a resonably priced hotel in a central location in Sydney so that it is easy to move around, near local tour pick ups, near eating outlets etc. Thanks !

I highly recommend Meriton Service Apartments at Kent Street. (Kent Street is just back to back with George Street) Central location, walkable to darling harbour, Chinatown and QVB. There is also a Coles Supermarket across the street and lots of eateries nearby. the free 555 shuttle bus to opera house is just downstairs too.

However, I think normal price is not cheap, one night about AUD$300+ per night for a 2 bedroom apartment One way is to join their mailing list and wait for their discount emails. That’s what I did and I think I got AUD$180 for June this year.

Another option near Meriton Kent Street is Radisson Hotels and Suites at Liverpool Street. It has rooms with 2 queen beds, and it being a hotel, it’s cheaper.

                    Hope this helps !
