MP echoes calls for PSLE to be scrapped

I think it may be late to decide how this year’s PSLE standard will be. They have all been printed and ready to be despatched to all the schools 2moro morn. Right now, I can only remind my son to relax and not panic.

kids face many sources of pressure, from school, from classmates, from family, from tuition, from peers.... i mean, they are really pitiful w/o happy childhood... when they grow up, they may only rmb how hard it was to study study and study... no longer like us where we rmb the kampong life, how to catch tadpoles, how to throw marbles...

My son is so stressed that he was crying in his sleep last night. My hubby and I had to assure him that everything would be fine. Why are our poor kids suffering from this dumb rat race so early in life ?

This is for your son....In life...what's more important is to chase the wind and touch the sky....to have lived. So just brave through PSLE which is only one of the quests in life, then look forward to chasing the wind and touching the sky...

DOnch know what some parents been planting into the head of their kids...the kids only think RI or RGS...it's like one and only dream school.


When they did not get their DSA...the stress even more tremendous!!!

Really pity those kids!!

I love my spiders very much. Don't even think it. They eat up the mealybugs and aphids in the garden, and keep my plants healthy naturally. I've also got lizards and I love them all.

You can catch aphids, mealybugs and spider mites if you want. I can spare the pigeons too.

Agree is too late if the discussion only started recently. Feedback already started beginning of the year or even earlier. It got into hot topic abt a month ago when the kid ran away from PSLE oral and parent feel something is really going towards the wrong direction and slam into heated anger. So, it shd not be too late for them to revise if voices were heard and attention were paid much earlier. Just like if bosses want something, by hook or by cook, die die (burnt mid-night oil) also must deliver immediately, lor! :scratchhead:
