      BerriMore1:
      Hi Skunk

Sounds like yr maid has the potential of being the good maid. Hope it is not at the beginning yeah.

I have a few maids. First week they are like very automatic, very fast. Each time you are around in the house you will see her moving here and there, looking for things to clean, to arrange.

When you are about to have the \" hmm.... this looks the Miss Maid-Right... I think I am lucky this time. \" feeling, she started to lose her enthusiasm and get sloppy and forgetting this and that. :celebrate:
      Remember my maid who steals???
She reads the bible everyday. She took the bible with her when she took my children to Kumon.

She gets 95/100 for her work.
Just when I thought she is the ideal one, she STEALS!!!

      SO, only time will tell.

        kiasimom:

Hey Andaiz, my spirit will be with you.
Oh yes, please do not go to the airport alone with HRH.
Thanks, kiasimom...I'm sure there were other parents here who have done the same, THANK YOU ALL! can really feel the vibes

HRH took it very calmly - in fact I think she was very happy with the arrangement - she gets to spend Christmas with her family with a free ticket paid by YOURS TRULY! πŸ˜›

After the shouting match about the tap (you can't imagine that the tap base actually broke off - she's wonderwoman or what??!? and she had the gall to yell at me!:nunchuk:), she was just taking ages to do her work - forgot about the kid's fish; and I kept making her repeat back our simple instructions (still got them wrong :x :x :x frus only) we decided we'd all chip in to show her how it can and should be done: my mum helped out and the kids chipped in etc...

By 7pm. I thanked her and told her to pack up as I'd be sending her home. She didn't even bat an eyelid and said \"ok\". So there it was, simple, no frills, no drama, and certainly no wailing.

There were some tears as she'd spoke to me and when I gave her the pep talk about growing up and not acting foolish, and getting everyone upset!

Actually, I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry when she said:
        - \"yeah, actually this is better for everyone...\"

        - then over coffee coz the counter only opened 40 minutes after we reached the airport, she thanked me for being patient with her and broke down when she said that it suddenly dawned upon her that I've been exceedingly patient with her. I told her that it was too late. For her sake and for that of her family, she needed to grow up! (actually, I was thinking like :!: :stupid: :nunchuk: ...now then you know my flavour).

now you know why I say she's quite heartless?

Anyway, she's history...flight takes off an hour from now. Think I'm just keeping myself awake to then...then do my little victory dance. She intends to come back to SG to \"escape poverty\" though... oh :?:

          Oh Andaiz,

I think she has the hunch that you will send her back. That's why she took it calmly.
I fully understand how you feel when you send her to the airport and watch her back as she entered the gate.

To those employers who think we are heartless, we are NOT!

We are humans too. It hurts and takes a lot for us to come to a painful decision.

We are sad too, ok!!! 😞

Just that, circumstances force us too.
We can only swallow our tears and we have to put on a brave front.

          Anyway, that maid is history.

Andaiz, I do sincerely pray that your next maid will be a better one πŸ™‚
          Good luck :celebrate:

Yeah, mebbe, just mebbe, she reads KSP discussion threads 😐
I had my suspicion that she was primed (by neighbours' helpers) the fact that her contract finishes in Feb and since it's CNY and new schoolterm, I'd be sending her back in Dec...hence all the tell-tale signs of gross disinterest and as my mum puts it \"irritating us so that we would fire her!\" πŸ˜›

Actually I was telling myself \"one less child to bring up.\" LITERALLY...had to take a map of the terminal, show her where the washroom, departure lounge and gate was...plus the money changer and chocolate shop(s)/

Yes I did feel sad as I talked to her and pleaded with her to be more sensible. I don't think I'm heartless. Let her bring back Christmas presents for herself, and two gals (stationery for the new school term in June), and hubby. Gave her some money as goodwill and told her to spend on the children since harvest would not be good next year.

Thanks, Sis. praying that too - I'm not greedy...just want someone who fits well into the family and is WILLING to learn. πŸ™

So who does all the household chores?

Haiz, that’s why I always say maids to me are like men.
When you have them, you find them irritating, but when you don’t have them, you miss them πŸ™‚
