四五快读 Methods

Very satisfaction with the books, my boy just completed book 1 (chapter 10), total recognise 88 words from book 1, very happy I cant remember when did i start the book but we did it almost everynights (just 10-15min) or alternate night and he is 3++ now so i guess he is making a good/steady progress.. for those that still considering whether to invest or not in this programme, i shall highly recommend to you but of course daddy and mummy must put in same effort too oh:)

Does anyone knows what's the difference between the new and the old version of SWKD? I bought the older one but am thinking if I should purchase the newer version, since I'm still at the beginning of the first book.


Also came across another set of learning material for teaching chinese to young children from an online bookstore http://www.readwithmemommy.com, called 我会读 written by a local author. Is anyone using this series? Any feedback on this books?

Newer version have 故事集 (book and maybe more colourful? I do not have old version but I did compared both in dangdang before. I use 我会读 (3-4yo) series as \"story books\" instead of teaching aid :evil:

I have the old version. Bk 8 can be bought separately and not necessary becos normal storybks will do. I did buy bk 8 to complete the set heehee.


I only use 四五快读, it works for the kids so I just stick with it.

I read the write-up on dangdang and think the new edition has more colorful and better illustration. I did not buy the new editions.

Same as SAHM_Tan. SWKD works fine with my DS. He is into book 5 currently. Target to complete whole set (except 部首）by Dec. He is able to retain 99% for all words and 词语 because I ran through revision with him every now and then.

I’m at SiWuKuaiDu Book 6 now with my kid. Can anyone share how to use Book 7? And do we have to use this Book 7 with the kid?

Care to recommend books that are suitable for kids who has finished Book 6/Book 7? Many thanks in advance.

hello, May i know where i can buy these 四五快读 books? Is it only for lower primary school kids? My girl is in P1 already. TIA
