I created one so that we can exchange info on p5 curriculum , assessment and so on... My dd is having her SA2 now left with science and Chinese .. She will do oral and LC at a later date..but right now she is down with cough and runny nose hope it doesn't affect her performance

oh dear, take care of her.
My k2 dd also down with flu.
After SA2 only I want to explore about P5.
First finish this SA2. My hardest preparation is MT compo. one more week to go for paper1 then end week of oct is Paper2.

For Chinese Compo I get my dd to read up 好词佳句 and those
Compo model book… And will try to spot some topic for her as well…

I gave her Manuka honey and at the same time the TCM powder…

unfortunately, my son didn't take chinese.
For our MT (Tamil) I have a compo book,but is not a model compo.is like one page picture with helping words and other page is blank for kids writing there.I have to check,is there any other model compo for Tamil.I desparately need a model compo book for Tamil.T gave the nice sentences.but we haven't reach yet that level.My son struggle writing simple sentences.Somehow I have to send him for standard course. :xedfingers:

we cannot get Tamil books(execpt one Tamil book,I don't know why we cannot get other Tamil books from popular) from popular.we have to travel to Serangoon.Usually a bookshop brings to our school.But I didn't find any model compo.I have to go that far to seee again, anything to hunt.

May I check with you - for the SA2 Chinese Language, what is the weightage for each component / section?

I was just looking through DD1's school letter on the SA2 exam time-table and the breakdown of the various topics. When I zoomed in and take a look at the Chinese SA2 - the Chinese Oral is 30 Marks out of the total mark of 100! :yikes: :yikes: :shock:

1) Oral ---- 30 Marks
2) Listening Compre --- 10 Marks
3) Compo --- 15 Marks
4) Paper 2 -- 45 Marks

:faint: Alamah me - I was still in my la la land when DD1 had her CL Compo last week and I left her to do the reading herself :oops:

Sorry for late reply, usually don't use computer during weekends...

My dd's Chinese marks breakdown same as yours. For CL orals, it's 10 marks each for passage reading, picture discussion and conversation. For EL orals, it's 5 marks for each section. In the end, P4 final results will be a combination of CA1, SA1, CA2 results and SA2 papers. :xedfingers:

DD1 showed me a list of 作文好词好句 given by CL T and I almost :faint: She said CL T wants them to memorise 5 sentences each day as 听写!

One of the example (I doubt I will able to know how to use this ) is:-
这不关你的事，你真是狗拿耗子，多管闲事！ I literally have to take out the dictionary find the 拼音 for 耗子 then explain to DD1 it's meaning!

Sorry, but do you really think this is considered 好词好句？ Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bit rude and uncouth to me leh...
