Comparing Science Enrichment Programs

Hi sunnymumsy,
I do agree with you on the travelling if centre is located too far from us. But I always feel that for science, it will be good for them to go tuition centre. Science need to be in group study whatwhich I feel is more effective than home. They get to do experiment in the centre. More hands on . If is for other subject, home tutor would be a good choice if your child need extra focus. This is part of my opinion. -

Only this 2 centers that you are interested in?
I signed my elder son up for a PSLE science workshop in answering techniques for section B. I think it is very helpful and wished he could had attended it earlier. The fee is expensive but I felt that it is worth the money. I tried searching for Science tuition centers before but really can't fine one that suited my son's. He is not weak in the concepts but has problem answering the questions in a proper way. This tuition center only offers Maths and Science tuitions. For Science, only P6 classes. I am planning to enrol my younger on there later when he is in P6. He is only in P3 now.
In case you are interested : http://www.scienceHeuristics.sg (I am not sure about the website for maths) -

Hi all,
if you are interested in the tuition methodologies listed below, you can PM me or call 84442379 for the tuition. The tuition is only open to P3 and P4 students. Parents are free to visit to understand the methodology involved.
The tuition methodologies include :
- build strong foundation for science concepts using flash card system (this will come in handy when they reach P6 because once they are familiar with it, some chapters revision can be done in less than 5 minutes while big chapters can be condensed in less than 1/2 hour. In P6, they hardly have time for very intensive long revision time.)
- answering techniques (3 main answering techniques for all types of questions). The answering techniques will help your child to always refer back to principles and therefore be on the right track for answering.
- use of strategies to ease remembering of confusing or long facts
- tricky questions for each topic -
