2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

HWBW:
HWBW,我是一张白纸,我的愿望是让小孩涂鸦。
当一个孩子从书包里把我拿出来时,我感到非常兴奋。
Very smooth, isn’t it? The paper is acting as a person with feeling.
因为句子是拟人手法, 所以"愿望"用在这里是非常恰当的选择。 :rahrah: -

All the best for tomorrow's Science paper. Final burst.
The last DASH...whew ! I am so relieved and can cry tears of joy. 9 months of mental torture and emotional rollercoaster ride is over. -
But science is my worst subject…
I am real worried if i got a B only -
Here’s a little caution for parents for what happens tomorrow. While we definitely need to let the kids celebrate after such an intense period, do NOT let them play all day/night for weeks. They will suffer a culture shock when they have to get back to the grind in Jan next year.
Mitigate the celebration. Get them to spend more time with you and use this time to get close to them by playing games and sports with them. Once they enter Secondary school, they will be teenagers and will prefer to spend time with their friends than with you!
Wishing all P6 students best of luck tomorrow! -

Sweetheart... everyone has a worst subject. My daughter's worst subject is Chinese. My worst subject is Math. My husband's worst subject is English. We're all doing quite well in life. So hey... very normal to have a worst subject. But science is my worst subject......
I am real worried if i got a B only
BUT... if you even THINK now that you will get a B, then half your brain is used up THINKING that you might get a B... and you will only have 50% of brain power left to do your Science exam. You need your whole brain to do your Science exam. It's kinda late so here's a nice hug from Aunty Chenonceau... and since you are someone who cares so much about your studies, I am sure you won't get a B.
You need to rest your brain... calm your heart... and give your worst subject your ALL. Since it is your worst subject, you can't afford to go in there at half power. The PSLE is as much a test of emotional resilience and self-control as it is of your academic ability. Sleep now. Make nice dreams. Go in there bravely and strut your stuff. -

Yes Chief...Thanks for the reminder. Will not allow him to play 24/7 until Jan 2013 or he could possibly forget his father's name. Here's a little caution for parents for what happens tomorrow. While we definitely need to let the kids celebrate after such an intense period, do NOT let them play all day/night for weeks. They will suffer a culture shock when they have to get back to the grind in Jan next year.

Plan to let him enjoy until Nov...then start to introduce him to Sec english from Dec. A friend told me right after 2 weeks orientation in secondary 1, the tests will start and with 8-9 subjects, it is going to be very tough. -

Your advise is timely, thank you. Here's a little caution for parents for what happens tomorrow. While we definitely need to let the kids celebrate after such an intense period, do NOT let them play all day/night for weeks.
I have promised my dd that she can rot in front of the computer from Wednesday onwards. She reminded me today that she's looking forward to the rot[

I was actually thinking of throwing myself into my work and finally get things done.
Wishing all P6 students best of luck tomorrow!
I see the errors of my plans.
