Actually the school has been stressing the kids to do many sets of paper and the route before seating for the PSLE is really stress for the parent and kids. I feel the school should not stress too much on very tough question after all the paper wasn’t so tough right. My DD always get disappointed grade (not 80+ type except for Prelim) so kind of lower her morale. I really think the school should look into targeting the right balance in order not to kill their interest.

          Hi ksp,
Today is the last paper and the road of preparating dd for her first national exam PSLE has finally come to an end.
Next year begins a new chapter. It will be a even tougher preparation of higher learning, nevertheless we can now relax till then.
Here is wishing every dc and ksp a Very happy holiday. No point to stress over the results as whatever could be done has been done and the rest is beyond our control.
I am jumping into the the mud pool now. Thanks hippo!
          Checking out till next month.

Post PSLE, I now think that either way - tough or easy school papers - is debatable. As parents, we can teach our kids to be positive about it. Not knowing the extend of the difficulty, we suffered in p5.

This year, I tell DD to be thankful and that it's part of the school strategy. So she understands and her self-esteem stays strong. She fully understands that killer papers means no heart attack nor tears at the actual PSLE exam.

Am not saying I agree, but at least my child is not stressed by the system.

Very true. Either way - hard or easy - is debatable.
Exposure is always good, reduces the shock/panic a child may get during the PSLE exam itself.

                        Post PSLE...I feel like I'm doing a year-end reflection.
My son is done with primary school.
What's done is done...where results is concerned, we can't do anything but hope.
