Hi eagerdad1999, thanks for sharing. How about they traffic in front of the school. Will there be long queue to enter school to drop off the girls? Where do u normally drop off your girl?

Parents usually drop their dd outside the school near the zebra crossing. I have never encountered long queues because the parents are very cooperative; drop off and move off quickly.

Howl about on raining days, where will you drop your dd?

Main gate will be opened and dd can alight inside the school (under shelter).
:thankyou:

        Hi
My DD is going in next year.I heard in some IP schools the teachers don't really teach and the students have to seek help outside. How about NYGH?

How are Year 1 students allocated? MEP and AEP are grouped in classes for their elective program. How about those gaining entrance by DSA and S1 posting? Are they mixed or according to T-score ?

I think there are 17 HMP(MEP) students (Sec 1) split into two classes. There is also one class of AEP students. The high scorers (excuding GEPs) are put into 1 class (I could be wrong) and the rest are randomly mixed.

Teachers do teach but they donโ€™t spoonfeed. Students are expected to take initiative to ask or find out more thruโ€™other resources; but I donโ€™t mean engaging private tutors. The whole idea is to train the girls to be independent learners and thinkers. The teachers are all very helpful. They provide before and after school help to students who need to clarify things. But again, it is up to the girls to take responsibility for their own learning.

Hi! I'm a Secondary 2 student in NY right now ๐Ÿ™‚ Er, there's actually nothing much to bring when u report to school because everything wil be given to u by the teachers eg. the 3rd language information, CCA bkt for a brief idea of CCA in NY, etc. So, as long as u have confirmed that u have been admitted into NY, actually there's not much things u need to bring.

Oh, but do bring a lot of money! They will be asking the students to buy the uniform on that day itself and also the books. So, it will quite a tedious job >< But just for precaution, u might want to bring your student pass.

                        Jiayous!
