my girl is through the first round! πŸ™‚ Will consider letting her stay in mainstream, though. I want her to be fully prepared for PSLE instead of doing the GEP work which is not so related to PSLE. furthermore, this is the last batch taking the old syllabus, so her enrichment teacher has already hinted that PSLE 2014 will be tough as it is the last round.

Through the first round doesn't mean she is in GEP.

I thought your DD should take PSLE on 2015 in stead of 2014?

Maybe I am confused that GEP students don’t take PSLE.

yes she is PSLE 2015. i meant that the last batch taking old syllabus will be tough so means that the unknown for 2015 is greatest!

Any idea what is the statistic of students in each school getting into GEP? It seems to be no difference for child getting into GEP or not except for extra work to do?

I don't see any reason why the last batch will have a tough PSLE. It should be as unpredictable like any other year

                    Cheers.
Hi, my gal got thru the GEP round 1! Is there anything I should do now to help her prepare for Round 2? Feeling guilty as I don't spend much time teaching her (have been focusing on my elder daug who is in P5) & she only has Chinese tuition.

Anyone, any advice? Btw this is the 1st time I posted in this forum..... din know it's so easy.

i also no idea what to prepare and how to prepare it.

There's really nothing to prepare for at all.
If your child gets in, it means he/she is up to par for the programme (by his/her own merit).
If not, it does not matter - life goes on in mainstream where the majority of the cohort is.
:goodpost: Correct, there is nothing to prepare. Except maybe pencil and eraser πŸ˜‚

Just tell the child to enjoy answering the questions in the second round and have fun.

                      Cheers.
