I love the smell of cloves!Kiasimom,
Interesting thread
My mom taught me this trick of putting cloves (a type of spice) in the kitchen cabinet and also in the cabinet under the sink so as to 'drive away' the cockroaches.
So I just scatter a few in all my kitchen cabinets. We (my mom and I) do not have any major problems with roaches so far :xedfingers:
and boy do I hates roaches! Will try it as soon as we buy some cloves this weekend! -

I use vinegar for my oily stove,it's really effective.
I know a friend who uses vinegar to wipe floor. Apparently, it kills germs. Wonder if anyone has heard of that? -

Thanks for starting this thread - have learned so many useful things.I used \"used\" tealeaves for my eyebag treatment.
I will store the used teabag in the fridge so that it will be cooling when I use it for eyebag treatment.
Hmm... used teabag for eyebag? Is it effective? Mine probably permanent damage alredi, dun know if it would still work? -
Also, my pantry lady taught me to soak stained tea cups in water with squeezed lemon juice (one lemon to a pot of water) for removing the stains.

My mum taught me to use vinegar with floor detergent, it's supposed to get the floor squeaky clean. But I didn't try it before coz DH can't stand the smell of vinegar.

vinegar can be used to wash off the pesticide residue found on fruits such as grapes , cherries, strawberries by pouring some of it into a bowl of water and soak the fruits in it for a while, say 10-15 min. i also use it for washing of veg (pour some of it into a basin of water) as soaking in water alone generally doesn’t remove all pesticide residues. -
Hmmm… useful thread. If there are more contributions to this thread, maybe Chief may decide to make it sticky?
I keep my expired axe-oil, ru yi you and the likes, so that I can use them to wipe away the ink stain left by white board or permanent markers on the white board or laminated furniture. -

Hi busymom,
Teabags do work. If your condition is more serious, maybe you need to use for a longer time
