No, Medal is for top scorer/s of the paper which not necessary be perfect score ... For Maths easier to get perfect score but others the top score might not be perfect score.

so for top scorer/s, apart from the medal with the name engraved, will the certificate still show High Distinction or will indicate differently? something like: country topscorer or Perfect Score?

Hmm…we did not get math result from the school yet. My DD scored Distinction in English and creative writing.

yes, this year they asked the children to describe a character in the given picture.

My ds are in P2 & P4, both said they didn’t do any writing for NSW paper. So strange

For P5 there is a NSW creative writing paper, not MCQ based. I am not sure if there is any for P2 to P4, doubt so.
