Just curious, Normally what do your maid eat for breakfast? My maid ask for cheese, peanut butter, kaya, eggs, bread, milo and fresh milk. When she can't finish, she throws them away. Although I don't think it's correct but as employer we are suppose to provide them with adequate food yet I see her wasting food like that. If I tell her don't buy since can't finish, I will sound like a mean employer. If let her be, she seems to be wasting food. Sigh!!

I would suggest that you buy what you think is a reasonable amount for a week then she can eat whatever combination of those things she wants each day. I'm sure she doesn't need all of them every day.

Wow!! Cheese and fresh milk? Throwing away left-overs?

How about powdered milk instead of fresh milk?

I stock all these items because I eat them, I don't drink coffee but my maid does, so I buy the cheapest Nescafe. My maid like white bread, but I like wholemeal bread. I told her if she does not like these items, she can buy her own with her own money.

Except bread and fresh milk, the rest of the items have months of expiration dates. eggs maybe a few weeks. Could it be that your maid is not eating them at all?

I think if you do not eat any of the above, just offer her 1 breakfast beverage, 2 food - bread, biscuit/crackers, butter, kaya, eggs.

Unfortunately none of us eat those things that she eat. My gal also don’t like cheese. I hardly drink fresh milk because we drink powdered milk. She just put these things in the shopping cart without telling me. When it comes to cashier then i realised all these things. My maid don’t like coffee, prefers only milo or fresh milk.

Like what nms1 says, I should just buy what is enough for a week but she changes her breakfast menu often. So it maybe because she is sick of the current food. She is a transfer maid. I think her previous employer "spoil" her.

What do you and family eat for breakfast? Just let her eat the same, anything else she has to pay for for it.

I find breakfast is a very personal meal so I think you should let her choose what she wants within reason then just buy whatever she needs. If she wants some variety then fair enough as long as she doesn't waste anything.

Sorry to say this but she is taking advantage of you. I ask my maid what she eats for breakfast and if she gets to choose, she will usually ask for the cheapest. We will provide biscuits n bread and coffee, but if she wants anything else, i'll ask her to get herself.

For us breakfast is very simple. So I dun see why she can't eat what employers eat.

I think your maid eating too much for breakfast . They will have lunch at around 12 to 1 . How can she eat so much ? Doing household chore does not used so much energy as construction worker .
I would give her peanut butter bread and coffee . Sometimes we eat Bao , will buy her share too. Conclusion , whatever we eat then she should eat .

My maids always went back fatter than she came here !
