hi Ran1977,Hi ran1977,
Maybe u can consider joining their parent volunteers just to hv a feel of each sch's dynamics.
since you show keen interest in both TKPS and Ngee Ann, i suggest that you attend their P1 orientation this year, attend both schools (different day, different timing) - ask them to address all the concern that you have ? Listen to the Principal's message, walk around school premises, have a feel of the school.

Hi, we are not locals so have the lowest priority to get into the mainstream schools. Can anyone advise what are some of the good local schools in the east for non locals? Any statistics from last year to share? Dates for school orientation?

Can already feel the heat from the P1 reg exercise this year. I am SC and relocating to Marine Parade area either Q4 2013 or Q1 2014. My 1st kid will go P1 next yr. Plan to enrol her in mixed school so that me and my wife dont have to go through much trouble for our son 4 yrs later.
TKPS is within 1KM and NAPS is between 1KM and 2KM. Not done much research yet but kind of prefer the latter purely based on me being a former student in one of the Ngee Ann institutions. Any advice?? -
Mr XtaZZ:
Both TKPS and NAPS are good schools, and their popularity amongst parents have been very similar, with NAPS having a slight edge in recent years. If you are staying within 2km of either school, your chance of getting your child into either school in Phase 2C is very good. Can already feel the heat from the P1 reg exercise this year.
