If given the opportunity to work from home through some freelance engagement, would that not be something that most SAHMs will value? Correct me if I'm wrong. So if got such kang tao would you want it?SAHM,
wonder if i had broach this topic before...
what are your plans after the kids go secondary/JC and relied lesser on you? -

oh ya, why didn't i think of it? always thought of only going to cathay in town for that good deal. yes, good idea.KingRascal:
Oops...wonder if this is more suited for Eastlander Club!! hahaha

Tampines is indeed super crowded. I avoid going there unless off peak hours. For movies, try downtown east. Cathay has mom n tots promotion on weekdays. If showtime before 2pm, free for preschoolers. dd2 & I usually catch movie there while dd1 is in school
yes, tampines is too crowded for comfort. fortunately i used to stay there for many years with my parent so i could still find my way around. normally if i need to get any stuff from tampines, i wld just pick and go. -

We are getting parents to try out products and services for service/product providers and if they liked what they experienced, then they write up on their experiences for the providers for a fee. If you don't like the experience, you must still explain why to the provider. So the provider gets real and positive reviews, or feedback from actual users, and the parents get paid for their efforts, or at least enjoy the free trials.
Naturally, you must have good writing skills, and you must be a contributing member of KiasuParents.com and trusted by the community. The provider will have the final say on who they want to do their trials.
If you are interested to join our pool of such writers, PM me stating your interest, along with some of the services or products that you have tried AND LIKED. We will contact you when the opportunity arises. -

yes...some of the freelance jobs includes telemarketing; but call me fussy, but i won't sell something that i am not convinced with....and making cold calls too...

the current lobang i had still deals with commuting to office thrice a week which probably needs commitment of 10-12 hrs per work day; which i cannot commit now.

Chief, I'll PM you...except that I know I'll get very busy soon so best is to wait until my chaotic life settles into some sort of routine first.

this thread very slow moving recently. SAHMs, come in & chat

Hee, no choice, bcos most SAHMs don't have \"ME\" time when kids not in school
But it'll get better. :rahrah: My dd2 going to start school soon :rahrah: At least some \"Me\" time in the morning. :celebrate: sleepy:
oh NO
have another baby ?
NO WAY :!: Two is just nice.
sleepy:
Me too! Plan to get a car when dd1 goes P1. Too far to take school bus--they pick up at 5.45am :!: Don't think I can return to work full time tooI intend to chauffeur them even when they are in sec & JC. Sort of make myself useful?
I would seriously need a new hobby by then. Returning to work is probably out of question. I doubt any employer would like to employ me after being absent from workforce for donkey years. I stopped work since my elder one was 1 yo. By the time my younger one enters secondary school, that's like 14 years of unemployment

Telemarketing is OUT for meyes...some of the freelance jobs includes telemarketing; but call me fussy, but i won't sell something that i am not convinced with....and making cold calls too...
Cannot write well too, so seems like no suitable jobs to work from home. Maybe can give tuition when kids are older
