so u went to the bookshop n check it out hmm... wht u say is they sew the metal button onto a normal button so is it possible to take out the button wen washing or hv to wash together with the button?

Yes, buttons can be removed for washing. Basically, the small normal button will slide thru the button hole and then put the metal button in place. It makes putting on and taking down buttons so much easier without the rings! The small normal buttons are the size of those at the cuffs of man's shirt, not those normal front buttons (too big, cannot go thru the button holes)

However, I prefer to sew the buttons direct onto the shirt, so no need to remove for washing.

kkz thks for yr info n my problem is solved cos my boy is complaining abt the button on the shoulder wen he put on the school bag, he complained discomfort on it. Thks alot Pecalis

P2 to P3 is a big jump in all subjects, expect result to drop between 10 to 20 points if P2 result he is within the Level’s Std Dev or lower 16 to 17 percentile. Maybe 5 points if he is in the top 16 to 17 percentile in whole level (you can calculate from the attachment slip in the report book). Besides you will have a new headache Science if your kids do not like it.

Next big jump will be P4 to P5.

        @redkangoo

Old boys hah, CHPS somemore, knock your head, its CH or CHS. Its either 公教中学 or 公教中学附小, never 公教小学.

No matter how far, I think its worth the while.

You can ask those next year P1 who currently just went orientation to check school bus check list to see if there are school bus from CCK going to CH.

I stay Sembawang, my boy gets onto school bus at 6am, reach school 6.45am, half and hour earlier than assembly time.

sorry about the PS, too lazy to write the whole name ,Catholic High School (Primary).

Anyway, that's a good tip using sembawang as reference point. I use to live in Clementi and travel by bus to the old premises next to SJI. The journey was more than 1.5 hours but it was fun because of the company from the senior on the same bus...

Anyway, any nice parent willing to take a look at the school bus list and let me know if there is indeed a bus from CCK to CHS.

          Appreciated

As for his CCA, the teacher called me and ask me whether he want to join Modern Dance... said that the sports CCAs allo very full 😞 so quite difficult to go in.
Modern Dance is a very good CCA. But be prepared to put in a lot of hard work from beginning of the year to April bc of SYF2010. CHS Pri's Modern Dance has always obtained Gold(with Honours) so has a high standard to maintain.

Most CCAs are on Mondays & Fridays. But there might be more scheduled during competition/performances.

Yeah, I took it from pri 2 and that time, ngee ann city is still row and row of shop houses, I slept on the bus most of the time esp afternoon session.

We might be on the same bus but I grad. Pri 6 in 1982. so different generation .... kekeke but I know \"Huang xuan Tong\", if you know him, took the same bus at that time.

thanks for the info and I will call the bus company to enquire. Didn't know being parents can be so stressful nowadays... I let them enjoy their childhood before P1 for now.

                Thanks

S$1.50 should be enough. Give S$2 to S$2.50 per meal if your boy is big-eater.

                        Bought the new socks?

                        Bought the new bag?

                        Bought the new uniform?

                        Bought the ...?

Excited, geared up and ready for school to start?

We may see each other in school but may not recognise each other ... 😄
