i hold on to the current cc while trying out the trials. i will postpone rainbow.. let my son try a small size classroom in normal cc first. if he survive, i think life skill i can teach him at home.. also EPIC at rainbow use PECS, my son cant related tis .. i worried fall back cuz my son is very verbal now.

also because of current cc cost, i cant afford rainbow..

at rainbow everying is very structure , they use E-step... no good!

so example, if my son can write free hand, why mus he die die mus use stacils to write.. its thier top down teaching, so cant helpit kind.. they are trying to cater for all special needs kids...

Not all EIPIC centres use PECS n follow the same structure like Rainbow. some centres are more flexible n mix autistic n non autistic children together. You can check out with CEL.

I spoke to a special needs teacher in my son future primary school.. She say reading n writing skills is very impt if they want to be in mainstream... So I got a bit of work here... My son hates writing. Lol

Mine also hates writing. For the first half of this yr in pri, the teachers had difficulty getting him started on his school work. He will only write nos for Chinese lessons and refused to do English writing. So end up school work became homework. We did many things to motivate him, also caned and punished him. Finally he came to his senses in Term 3. Now he's doing his work independently. His teacher is also so proud of him. Reading is not an issue for him though.

My boy is also having problem with composition, so much so that his school teacher has to give him special concession i.e more time and with prompt in order to complete his test. I have spoken to his speech and language therapist, who told me the only way now is for him to memorize short sentences

That’s why I sent my boy to British council, hopefully to improve his comprehension and composition skills. So far not too bad, he had been able to write sentences and even attempted to spell those that he didn’t know.

ya mine reading is also ok. mine already can trace and write with assistance. copying still got problem. thinking of signing him for art class to practise his fine motor skills

They have a few branches. Tampines, Toa Payoh, downtown dunno where. Quite ex. Next yr paying $190+ per mth after discount. And it follows moe calendar so if sch hol, they also hol. No make up classes either. But I find it more challenging for my boy lah. And also interesting. He likes it very much altho he's the slowest to finish any class work.
