i worry loh cos…he said the teacher asked him wht he understd what she want:<

It happended to him previously, tink it was last year…and it turned out his combined score for compo and oral was not that good.

He said English oral is ok.

Last nite, was arguing w his tutor cum Daddy on Science Practice paper. He can’t answer the OE qns, I cant help much as Science is not my cup of tea. I only helped to look thru’ all the science guide books and assessment book and see wht any similar qns and how the qns were being answered.

Oic...MT in general is a stumbling block for our kids. Well cannot dwell on it anymore, have to concentrate on making the Paper 2 work then.

It is the same for my DS...they tend to regugitate rather than to answer to the point. I went thru the papers/work that the teacher has gone through with them for the year to try to see what type the answers have been provided for the question/s.

I reminded my son, write to the POINT - dont need grandfather, grandmother story...this is not like compo...the more you write perhaps the more mistakes one makes.

              Hi Dino Mummy

Mine din say anything about the practice paper. Nor anything about the oral.
              Just say ‘OK’, really…

Came back yesterday, just happily sit in front of TV and sleep after that.
              Everyday also like that.

perhaps yours did the practice paper before u came home and she has no problem doing it herself.

Mine will not start his homework till I am back from work. I f i come home late, I have to call him to remind him to start doing his homework. He is supposed to start hos homework fr 7pm, but these days, he will only switch off the TV at 7pm, then bathe. Thereafter, starts taking out his pencil case and file to chk for homework. By the time, he did that, will be ard 720pm. And just when u thot he will finally start his homework, he said he need to poo. :faint:

Yesterday, there was onsponge maths worksheet, chinese compo and english compo brainstorming.
Again, he tutor cum dad was scolding him when he went thru' the onsponge worksheet, so many careless mistakes and untidy handwriting. the worst part is chinese compo..kept saying his teacher gave a silly picture so dun noe how to write. Plus the \"phrases\" given by her teacher dun seem rt etc etc..blaming everyone except himself. By the time, he called off the day, it is past 11pm+.
Was tinking was it cos he is too tired at nite doing his homework hence cant concentrate. He used to take a short nap in the aftern, but these days, he \"quit\" the nap and substitute by watching TV. I m not w him in the aftern, cant insist he nap.

Perhaps you should have a heart to heart chat w him to understand what is going on.

DS is like that as well , after the talk and I found out part of the reason/s and we work out a deal. Not perfect but definitely some improvement.

haiz, i talked to him, his dad also talked to him…many many times, talked till no saliva liao. Everytime, he said okay…then…the next day, it happens again.

We are not stressing him…, his daily routine is to complete his homework and learn ting xie and spelling (if there is). During weekends, he attends enrichmt classes and he also does his fav outdoor activities like cycling and skating. He was given time to play games in FB too.

                        Hi Dino Mummy

                        Talked about yesterday nite…sigh…

Mine do homework until cried, still cannot complete. Seem like they have a pile of homework to do, yesterday seem like 1st time. My kid started Maths at around 8pm+, still not complete when at 10pm. Then start to get panic already cos already over bedtime and still have alot of homework not done. Till 11pm+, still have a few sums to do. At then already cannot think liow, been calling daddy to help.

Same here…had been reminding to quickly finish up the work and don’t take own sweet time. Just won’t listen.

And today went school without completing all the homework.
