PSLE exam is over, does your dc still go to school?
The teachers won't be teaching any lesson to these kids so I wonder why do they need to go and what do these kids do in school? Just play and chat with friends? :? -

My DS was just complaining that he was wasting his time in school doing nothing much after the PSLE. The teacher leaves them to their own devices. A lot of games like board games, namely Scrabble and Monopoly, and even art work and drawing etc are not allowed by the P. They are only allowed to do reading and play games provided by the school which the students find boring. The whole P6 cohort is fuming mad with the P. My DS's classmate brought out his Chinese chess set to teach my DS chess but was stopped by their teacher. In fact, even the teachers empathize with the students as they have strict orders from the P to prohibit such activities. I feel this is not right. What a waste of time going to school doing nothing interesting. It is not productive at all. To think there are about 4 more weeks to go? Should'nt the school conduct interactive lessons or workshops to stimulate the student's mind or conduct talks to help these P6 students to prepare for secondary school life?PSLE exam is over, does your dc still go to school?

DS looks forward to go Sch everyday. They are allowed to bring their own board games, teachers would on certain days allows computer lab etc. they chit chat & have fun. Think right now, there are some activities - project on some social issues & their views. They organized interclass captain balls.
I'm glad he goes to Sch cos I will have trouble entertaining him at home Too much energy @ he'll disturb the sister when she's back from Sch

Thanks for taking the effort to type such a long post to us. Really appreciate it. A sincere thanks & I believe your parents must be very proud to have such a thoughtful & sensible child like you. I do look forward to see my son enjoy his secondary school life like you do.

Yes, my dd goes to school everyday. The teachers have planned a series of outings and enrichment activities for the P6 students. My dd has a series of art, life sciences, junior achievement and computer enrichment activities. On top of that, they have to do a sculplture with cardboards, sew and design a bag, organise a flea market, some ad hoc outings, one day trip to Desaru at end Oct and ends off with a graduation party on the evening of their last day of primary school on 2nd Nov. I am currently very busy at work and I am happy that the school is occupying her as well.PSLE exam is over, does your dc still go to school?

Except that she \"complains\" that she has homework to do cos she is asked to do reflection journals of her enrichment activities....hahaha -

The sch does not have any activity for the kids. The teacher reads her own book in class while the rest of the kids chat and play with each other. So yesterday, the teacher booked the computer lab and let the kids surf net. I'm finding it a waste of time. -
