I travel to bkk v often, I used to buy the tickets to Siam Ocean World & Siam Niramit tickets from a Taiwanese staying at BKK, the tickets are cheaper & payment upon rec'd the tickets

as for hotel, asia hotel I didn't dare to stay becos of those errie stories I have heard many many times
I am going BKK again this Dec & staying put at a new hotel
The previous trip I stayed at Novotel Platinium, it was new & room was nice & spacious, breakfast spread was good & right beside The Platinium Mall

My gal fren just returned and stayed at the Platnium Novotel. She said good hotel as it was new.

Anyone has stayed in Citrus 22 before? Sukhumvit area…

I heard the Bangkok Asian Hotel (there are like more than 20 cases online reported) is haunted and so is the Baiyoke Sky Hotel (few cases)... Anybody knows if Pathumwan Princess Hotel is haunted? Very scary to go there.. Especially since its the 7th lunar month

Do you mean Asia Hotel? I stayed there a couple of times, nothing unusual happened to me. But the service from this hotel sucks. I'm going BKK tomorrow, staying at Novotel this time round.

We stayed in Asia hotel the 1st time we went to BKK.... and we never ever go there again.

We were given a windowless room. From a small gap, we can see the stairway :yikes:

Besides the windowless room, the tv was like those in 70's or 80's but yet it has remote control....

It's a very old hotel... Subsequently we stayed at Novetel Siam Square, Grand Diamond, Baiyoke Sky (wasn't too impressed either) and we used to stay at Arnoma regularly as the location is good and condition was ok. I never go there in recent years and when dh goes there for biz, he stays at Conrad. But that is a distance from the prime shopping area.

Asia is very old already. The only reason it is still popular is probably becaue it is connected to one bts station. Arnoma is a grand dame, very distinguished but old already. It doesn’t help that the hotel is not well maintained. Prathumwan princess is conveniently connected to mbk and it is probably one of the better maintained one and connected to bts station. Novotel, old already lor. Baiyoke is ok but I find the location too far to be convenient.


Nobody talks about westin and central grand?

Do avoid the Lebua if you are travelling with kids… …alot of men-men de…

I stayed at Emporium suites. Thought it was quite nice. That was a few years ago. Dunno whether std still ok now. Prefer it to Novotel Siam. Ascott service apartments also good but location not as good as emporium suites which is next to BTS and emporium.

Yes, Emporium is still oki and location great. Fraser Suites Sukhumvit not bad too..
