Dear parents, my kid is DSA-ed to RI before this PSLE. We are new and living in LILYDALE (yishun). Is there any RI Kid in this premise? I am seeking to see if i can find partner to car pool the kids to RI directly. thanks for any feedback.
any RI kids living nearby Yishun MRT, can car pool as well. let me know should you are interested. thanks.

Just to check. For the year 3 RA, can a student drop the RA anytime or must the student do the RA subject for at least a year.

I have the same qn too. My DS intends to take on 2 RAs. With boarding sch term next year and his 2 ccas plus 3rd language, and musical interests, I am a little worried abt his workload next yr. Being keenly interested in several pursuits doesn’t address the fact tt there are only 24 hrs in a day.

Also are all the ra equally good? I know some RAs are more popular like maths, phsyics and chem, wat abt the other subjects like history and geo.

I am sure all the RAs are of high stds. This yr the team which won the int'l geog Olympiad are RI boys. Math n sciences are popular as many boys are more inclined towards these fields rather than the humanities.

Before you apply for an RA, make sure you are passionate about the subject and are not doing it because it’s ‘prestigious’ or looks good on your portfolio. Also be sure you are able to commit to the additional workload. If you are passionate about the subject, RA will be a joy despite the additional workload. You will not even think of dropping it. Conversely, if you aren’t coping, the school will ask you to leave the RA programme, not you asking to be allowed to drop it.

I know a couple of RI boys who are doing 2 RAs, 2CCAs, 3rd lang. They are coping well. Then again, these boys are very disciplined and very bright. At the end of the day it depends on your son's character and calibre. Maybe your son can go seek out his seniors and speak to them?

What do you mean by 'equally good'?
