Travel: Korea - General
-
I’m going f&e from 22 - 29 dec & celebrating xmas in seoul… staying in a new hotel near jongno 3sam-ga station which has 3 train lines. I intend to cover the following areas:
- Everland
- Seoulland, Seoul Zoo & Seoul Grand Park
- Supia Park Ttukseom Resort (For Winter Snow Sledding Experience)
- Seoul Animation Center
- N Seoul Tower & Teddy Bear Museum
- War Memorial of Korea
- Namdaemun
- Dongdaemun & Dongdaemun Stationery & Toys Street
- Hello Kitty Cafe
- Trickeye Museum, Hongdae
- Kidzania (Kids Job Adventure, have sent several emails to them to book but yet to receive any reply)
- Lotte World (if Kidzania is confirmed)
- Aiins World
Going with a 7 yr-old n hubby… Been to Seoul once for a shopping trip with a colleague. For cheap & trendy shopping, go to Ewha Women’s University Shopping St or Dongdaemun Migliore / Maxtyle. I managed to buy many dresses made in Korea at Ewha for KRW10,000 each though I tink I wil have a headache if I plan to buy for my boy… -

When we say airport limousine, we mean AIRPORT BUS.mummychia:
There are 2 types of airport limousine, depending on your hotel location. Normal limousine is KRW10,000 and KAL limousine is KRW15,000
oh mummychia, i had the impression the train is cheaper.. how come the limousine is just krw10,000?? -
Eh I suggest not to take the AREX… My airport transfer from Seoul Station to Incheon Airport was via the AREX. And at the AREX Incheon International Airport station, I had to lug my 25kg luggage + 10kg handcarry up the so called Travelators which was so damn long, steep & slow and they could not hold my luggage still at all!!! If I let go of my luggage, it would all have fell all the way down and hit someone!!! Imagine if you bring along a kid, are u going to hold on to ur dear luggage or dear kid? I’m not sure if they was a lift as I didn’t see one. The walk from the AREX station to the airport became long n tiring. The airport limousine bus / taxi will stop directly outside the airport so pls take the airport limousine bus instead…

Yes its like our mrt train. The other 2 trains in Korea are KTX & ITX, which is like a bullet train for travel inter-city.
I’m sure u can find the KAL limousine bus, just approach their information counter for help if in need.
