My boy is in pri 4 this year. Used to have a 1 to 1 sch teacher tutor ($50/hr) but he failed terribly. However, this year we enrolled him to Just Education and he managed to score 80+ in SA1 & full marks in CA2. The math tutor, Mrs Chai managed to get his attention and the tuition fees are reasonable at only $120/mth for 2 hours per session.

RE: Recommended English Books
My boy (Pri 3 in 2014) is hooked on Geronimo Stilton series. It's about a talking mouse who lives in New Mouse City on Mouse Island. A best-selling author, Geronimo Stilton works as a journalist and editor for the fictional newspaper The Rodent's Gazette. The fonts are colourful and different from those usual story books. It has a good vocabulary list which the kids can read from and apply to compositions. Available from Popular bookstores islandwide.

RE: Yew Tee Primary
Think all sch buses about the same standard. However, the smaller buses which costs $10-$20 more tends to send the kids home earlier than the bigger buses. The smaller buses fetches directly from below your blocks while bigger buses fetches from main roads and bus stops.

im in seoul now… temperature is around -14 degrees and we went to the following places:
1. Jogyesa Temple
2. Hello Kitty Cafe
3. Trickeye Museum
4. Myeongdong
5. Dongdaemun - Migliore & Maxtyle
6. N Seoul Tower & Teddy Bear Museum
7. Seoul Land (with Sledding Hills)
8. Myeongdong Cathedral
9. Seoul City Hall / Seoul Plaza Ice Skating Rink
10. Cheonggyecheon Plaza / Stream
11. Insadong
12. Lotte World
13. Ttukseom Resort (Sledding Hills / Winter Activities)
Planning to go to the following places:
1. War Memorial of Korea
2. Everland
3. Gyeongbokgung / Deoksugung (for changing of royal guard duty)
4. National Folk Musem + Children Museum
5. Korean Children Snow Sledding Hills @ Children Grand Park
6. Gwanghwamun
Found Lotte World to be extremely disappointing with super long queues at rides (about 80 - 90 mins on average with some rides going on 150 mins… ) The locals there are lotte world were not friendly and were super pushy… didn’t even manage to catch the xmas parade not to say a single ride! wasted my $100!!!
Seoul Land was a great choice! Queues were so much shorter and i tink we only waited about say 5 mins max? There were much lesser ppl cuz i tink it was outdoor and pretty cold… but it was nothing less enjoyable… we had a great time there… and there was even a snow sledding hill for both adults and children… super fun and it came free!! Ttukseom Resort is another great choice for snow sledding as it was pretty near to the subway… -

taxi to/fro seoul city ctr to airport costs about 65,000 won. how many of u going over to the seoul? If i didn't rem wrongly, the driver will help us take out the luggage so we don't have to carry them out. I think you can take a taxi from 6002 bus stop to hotel. should usually costs less than 5,000 won.

& Supia Snow Sledding Field more convenient.

RE: Travel: Korea - General
Eh I suggest not to take the AREX… My airport transfer from Seoul Station to Incheon Airport was via the AREX. And at the AREX Incheon International Airport station, I had to lug my 25kg luggage + 10kg handcarry up the so called Travelators which was so damn long, steep & slow and they could not hold my luggage still at all!!! If I let go of my luggage, it would all have fell all the way down and hit someone!!! Imagine if you bring along a kid, are u going to hold on to ur dear luggage or dear kid? I’m not sure if they was a lift as I didn’t see one. The walk from the AREX station to the airport became long n tiring. The airport limousine bus / taxi will stop directly outside the airport so pls take the airport limousine bus instead…
