GEP 2012 - Screening & Selection
-
How come I dont seem to understand some of posts too. :? I think as a parent, it is impt to know tt to be in gep does not mean that yr child's future is 前途无量; not selected does not mean the child 前途无亮 too. It maybe a blessing in disguise. Just my own view.

From what i have gathered, there are many parents in this forum whose kids are in the mainstream (primary sch) and now doing very well in the sec sch too. I believe some are doing better than the Geppers. But there is really no need to compare. You don’t have to be in GEP to do well in life.

I think I finally got it!
She’s asking for additional resources to be allocated to the mainstreamers!
Am I right? -

Forgot who said it - selected is bonus, not selected also ok. Majority of us in mainstream anyway. If not of GEP calibre & maturity, why stress everyone over it. -
hi sunnymumsy
I was reading the posts,
this is the last batch of the old syllabus, and thus the PSLE will be more difficult for 2014
May I know what's the old syllabus referring to ?
Thanks for yr help ! -

I really cannot appreciate 'treasure', saw some but I found it hard/dunno how to use. Perhaps I'm too stupid or my child not smart enough to be able to utilize such 'precious' stuff. -

I donch think it's the material but rather the class setup and perhaps the method of teaching.

I have never asked for policies crafted for the hyper kiasu in mind (me included!) I'm asking for a policy to cater for the majority population especially for those disadvantaged families.

Ah, I see. Pardon if I don't care for policies crafted for the hyper kiasu in mind.Melodies:
It has nothing to do whether I think the current GEP program is a good route or not! I'm supper 'kiasu' and wanted to have a much better alternative route (based on my standard) for my dc and yet get to enjoy childhood.

over what I saw & knew instantly it was a blessing that DS was not in GEP. Dun even bother to borrow the material cos it's not going to be useful without the proper lesson/guidance.
