School Teachers Working as Tutors

I also remember reading about the 8 hours thing somewhere. Anyway, who’s going to conduct a check? If teachers just teach private tuition for 10 hours? Very hard to keep track. Anyway, I don’t think it is good that teachers can moonlight. Like that how will they feel motivate to teach our children in school? They won’t want to stay back for extra lessons or what if they can earn big bucks teaching tuition outside.

this is the reason why they need to apply, if they are not performing well in sch, then the principals know why... haha... -

I think you're right...I remember the 8 hours weekly thing, but what I meant was that certain principals expressly don't want their teachers to teach students from their school. Imagine a teacher is teaching student A, and student A also have tuition under that same teacher. When it comes to giving marks during exams, it's hard to keep a cool head....someone else might complain of favoritism too....basically it's just an ugly affair.
i'm not sure about that but i dun think schools will allow that to happen... -
Moonlighting is GOOD money. $80 for 1.5 hours. Why not?

i think those who apply and got approved will charge that kind of money... or even higher... why not? they are legal and so called the 'experts'... -

I know of a teacher who tutors at a well-known centre for 2 hours a week. Some tuition centres have good materials or teaching process that might help/inspire the teacher in her normal work.
