That's the reason why I break up our trip. We will travel from Taoyuan airport to Taichung, stay one night before heading to Cingjing the next morning.

Airport - Taichung is approx. 2 hours
Taichung -Cingjing is slightly under 2 hours
Taipei - Cingjing is under 5 hours

      2am:

      hello jessielu,

I m going to use public transport. It will be just 3 of us so I think should be manageable and more economical to go by train. Taxi sound very expensive.

To cingjing is 4hours... this is the part i m worried about. How to get there and back to airport.

Cinjing is indeed far away from airport, we are exhausted by sitting the van. Fyi, travelling up the mountain need 1 hr & if got car sick, feel even worse! The rd are really steep and winding, don't think would want to go up again.

The journey up the hill is nightmare to me, 1hr up the winding rd and 1hr down, turning up the butterfly in stomach

Did your driver drive very fast? My cabbie says it will take approx. 110mins from Taichung to CJ.

My gf who drove up on their own says the road is winding but still bearable.

hi i emailed taiwan visitor association and i was told they no longer do mailing for freebies and I have to go down to their office to get the brochures and freebies instead. Just wondering if the freebies are worth the trip? Can those who receive the freebies share the contents? TIA. I'm actually looking at the xiao ren guo's vouchers.

Counting down to our Taiwan trip in November.. so looking forward. 🙂

Oh yes and just to share, I eventually hired a driver to drive us to the flying cow ranch from taipei and finally decided to stay there for a night as well. According to the website, there seem to be many activites to do at the ranch and I don’t think there is enough time for all the activities if I were to return back to Taipei on the same day.

For those who going to taipei F&E better book your room fast.

room supply on weekend near XMD almost fully booked.
if thinking to save $ on budget hotel chances very slim 🤷
