I hope so but I'm worry for some some subjects like critical thinking which I really catch no ball and wonder how to help her .

      Think you worry too much.

The teachers will teach the necessary.

Thanks . Yes I may have worry too much ! :nailbite:
Does anyone know any drop out cases in NJC ? I read in another thread that even students scoring 250 plus can't make it in IP?

Have confidence in your child lah. Let the teachers do the teaching and the child do the learning. If your child does his/her work consistently, should be ok lor. And there is no way you can continue to be teaching your child everything like in primary school. Even if you are a teacher, there is no way for you to know everything. Don't worry lah. My DS is coping fine even though his PSLE not so good. In fact some of those with better PSLE results are not doing as well as him now. PSLE score alone does not determine the ability of the child to cope.
We went for the school tour last week . My dh very happy about the curriculum offer by NJC. He said that he knows my girl will enjoy her schooldays there .

I went too, dh also felt the same and feel that they offer a better programme than the normal sec schs. He feels their curriculum is more suited for dd. About critical thinking, I hv no idea but dont think its something that can be taught, must ask dd. πŸ˜‚
Are u applying under sec1 posting?

Likely to accept the CO thru DSA . I'm just worry will she be able to cope ?
I share the same sentiment, as dd was offered another CO, I have been been asking her to consider seriously but her mind has been set on Nj since a year back.

I do not know of dropout cases, my boy is not active in the grapevine.

Whatever the PSLE score is, as long as the child pays attention in class, follows up on school work diligently n consistently, I believe the child will do ok.

Pardon me, I think you might need to discontinue reading those stressful threads. Hear more positive ones.

To-date, I've only heard of 2 cases in my boy's cohort. Both GPA below 1 (which is extremely low).

But seriously, if your child follows his lessons in school, he/she would not get such extremely low marks. Most students are able to cope.

Thanks everyone for the advice . Seems that the rumors are not that scary .

I’m sure my dd will enjoy NJC curriculum . After the tour , even my younger girl in p4 told me that she will work hard and aim for NJC .

I have signed the preference form for NJ. Honestly, I prefer my dd to be in NJ then to choose an all girls sec school.

My girl doesn't like to be in all girls school too . I submitted the online preference last night ! πŸ•Ί
