Here's the link to Amazon. I intend to get the speedo ones. They are very reasonably priced. I have bought aqua shoes in Singapore for my son who does canoeing and they are very ex. Around SGD100, plus or minus. Singapore has less choices too. Only got the ex ones, but these brands also cheaper in US.
Hi, could you point me to the exact web page and the type of aqua shoes that you are getting? Also, do you know if there is such a thing as one-time camera that can be used underwater? Our existing camera is not waterproof. Thanks.Miracle Child:

You don't even need to do that only when you get there. You can buy while still in Singapore and have it delivered to your hotel so that it is there when you arrive. I have done it many times with diff hotels in diff cities. No problem at all. We'll need aqua shoes for this trip for DC, and it's much cheaper in the US. I'm ordering them for those in the family who don't already have it and it shd be waiting for us when we arrive. No need to wait to order only when you are there.

We have booked the premium package at DC and they will provide us with a kodak disposable waterproof camera among other stuff. Shd be able to get in Singapore. Otherwise, can order from Amazon too. Here is the link

Otherwise, I think DC may sell these at their gift shop too, but will be prob more ex.
Have you decided to go DC?
Do you plan to do Sea venture if you go DC? I have booked that, thought it'll be a great experience. If you decide to do Sea Venture, you can borrow a camera from them to take the underwater pictures during the adventure. Then they will put the photos into a CD which you can then buy. But quite ex. I think around USD50 for the CD, but I am not too sure. -
Thanks, Dnls_mum. We will be going DC but probably not doing the SeaVenture thingy…needs to be minimum 10 years old…DS not of age yet.

DD also too young.
So she also cannot do sea venture. We'll prob split up and do it separately in twos so someone will be with DD at all times

Hi Dnls_mum, does the hotel charge a fee for having the items delivered to them?despmom99:
Check out what you want to buy from Amazon and buy online when you reach there. Put name of hotel when you reach the hotel and have checked in.

If so, how much?
No hotel has ever charged me yet. It is common for the Americans who drive to their holiday destination to send things to themselves at the hotel so that they don't have to carry all the stuff with them. They sometime travel on a budget and get groceries sent to themselves too. -
Thanks, Dnls_mum!

Hi Dnls_mum,
Will Disney send anything to us prior to the trip for the package that we booked? Or do we only just bring the email confirmation?
For HardRock, it is just the email confirmation right?
Thanks. -
Miracle Child:
For the WDW hotel check-in, you will only need your email confo. You may also do on-line check in up to 10 days before your arrival.Hi Dnls_mum,

Previously (back in 2007) I received a package from Disney with the ME luggage tags. But I understand now that they don't send them to international visitors anymore
and you will need to give the ME counter at MCO your luggage counterfoil/tabs (or whatever you call those) and they will retrieve those luggages for you. Otherwise, you just claim the luggages yourself and bring it to the ME counter. But if your flight arrival is after 10pm, then you need to retrieve your luggage yourselves. If you decide to get them to retrieve your luggages, note that they take up to 3 hours to send your luggages to your room. As we are expecting to arrive in Orlando sometime after 7pm, we will prob retrieve our luggages ourselves. Don't want them knocking on my room door after 10pm when the kids are trying to sleep. :faint:
Regarding Universal, once you make full payment, they should have sent you an email confo/receipt, together with your 3Broomstick voucher. You will need to bring your same credit card that you used for the booking as I think you need to go to the WillCall terminals to get your park tickets printed. You will need to scan your credit card at the terminals. If you are like me and has pre-booked the Lombard dinner with special viewing area of the Universal Cinematic Spectacular, you will also need to pick up your tickets at the Will Call (did I get the name right.....hmmmm... :? ) terminal.
It is also advisable to bring your Singapore drivers license (for adults). For the multiday tickets at Disney and Universal, you normally scan your finger the first time you enter the park. The finger print is then associated with the ticket and you need to scan it the next time you enter. Sometimes, the machines act up and can't recognise the finger print. If you have a driver's licence, then at least they can identify you easily and let you in without wasting unnecessary time. This is just a kiasu, play safe suggestion. If you don't bring also ok lor.
Did I cover everything? hmmm......
I am so excited and can't wait to get there! :please: -
Thanks, Dnls_mum.
For WDW, what is the advantage of doing online check-in? Wouldn’t we still need to collect the room keys and stuff at the hotel? -
Miracle Child:
When you do online check in, they are suppose to have pre-prepared your package. Then when you arrive, you go to the online checkin counter which theoretically shd have a shorter line, to just pick up your package and go. For normal checkin, they process your checkin when you arrive, so suppose to be a longer wait and so a longer line. Thanks, Dnls_mum.
