Hi, I had my driving license for more than 10yrs but i seldom drive..ย

      I just phobia of accident.........

anyone has the similar problem? and how did u manage to overcome and start driving again?

I did refresher once.. but still didnt manage to re-start it.. ย

Now, need to ferry my kids to school. Any recommendation for a good private driving instructor? I am staying in the west.
Your hubby can drive? You already tried refresher before.....get hubby to bring you to more 'deserted' places (west should have quite a few) at night to get the feel first. Need to get over the fear by practising and gaining confidence.

Just after I cleared my probation, I had a minor accident with a transport bus. Tho I was not at fault, I was obviously shaken. Driver came down, saw my 'P' plate (I didn't take down as yet) and started to shout and bullied me. All I could managed was to take his bus plate and phone number and he drove off. A van who was behind me witness the whole incident came up and helped me. While he refused to be witness, he drew the map, the time, vehicle positioning etc....and told me to report police with those evidence. Frankly, after that, I kinda panic whenever a big vehicle came close, and the fact that I hardly drive din help.

Practise makes perfect.....I guess that's the only way. When I eventually became a SAHM few years ago and took over the car (to ferry kids, in-laws etc)....I was quite panicky/nervous on the roads, it was a chore to drive. However, as time goes by, i have gained confidence and now, I'm quite OK and in fact, I have started to enjoy driving (not during jams tho). Guess, first step is to start ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry ah, I do not know of any good instructor too.....already 18 years since I got my license.

        LKVM:
How much generally u need to pay to learn driving and getting the licence?

I paid less than $1k.. from Basic theory to Licence.. inclusive of all costs such as booking fee, lessons, car rental, test fee etc.. plus 2 summons (these was the most expensive single lesson fee, and cost 10pts)..
All in all, < $1k SGD.

The rate that time is about $20/hr of lesson pte practical.
