Wow, I'm impressed too! If I were to use this menu every week, my kids should be able to overcome their underweight problem (- while I the reverse! Haha!) What else do you prepare for them other than the soups, verykiasumummy? And how much time to you spend each day just on meals preparation?
drinking soup to replace the rice should not do anything reverse to u.... lol...

other than soup, i make sure they get their daily breakfast (a must) and vege intake... usually when i'm free, or when surfing the net (or ksp), i'm multi-tasking at the same time to see if there's any new recipes to cook for them...

having been a mum so long, i know their preferences so i will try different ways to entice their appetite...

verykiasumummy, your soup list seems like those of a restaurant menu or catering menu plan list! šŸ˜‚ What a great mom you are and how blessed are your DH and DCs. I'm sure with all these 儽汤 daily, your family members must be looking great especially the kids, having rosy complexions. I bet you are a Cantonese as they are very particular and meticulous about their preparation of their soups...must be minimum3-4hours.

I prepare soups for my family about 4-5 times a week and cook whatever fresh ingredients I have or see at the market or supermarket. For example if I see that today's winter melon looks great or I chance upon a big and nice chicken, I will buy them for cooking soup.

Think I will draw up a soup list like you. Thanks for sharing!
no, i'm not cantonese, but love cantonese food and have a nanny who is cantonese... and i'm no restaurant manager too... haha... 😃

not all the soup needs to be prepared long hours... for pork ribs and soy beans, i soak them in water in a soup pot for few hrs and put them in the fridge the night before, and i use the same water and pot to boil the next day during dinner, takes about 1+ hour and it will be soft.. ikan billis, chicken, fish are almost immediate kind... need not boil too long..

that's when u hv the luxury to go to market everyday... i dun.. i get my mil's maid to go buy on behalf... so far so good, even when i dun get the ingredients i want for that day, i will swope it for another day's soup or just change a bit...

Verykiasumummy, I am super impressed!! Thanks for compiling and sharing. I will sticky note the list.

Can just imagine, if many follow your list, on certain days old cucumber sold out, on other days shark melon sold out. :rotflmao: Ntuc, SS, Cold Storage & wet market better take note of demand on those days.

i'm not a very good cook la... just average... but ideas i do have plenty...

I am keeping my fingers crossed that DD won't be getting her menses so soon. She is already starting to show signs of puberty and she is standing only at 133cm. DH and I are also not tall so if she can hit 1.6m, we will be ecstatic. haha.

skipping daily and stretching exercises can help...
