      Hi,

Both my kids are with Agape CCK branch - in N2 and K2 now. The CC fees includes Chinese Speech and Drama, Music Class (once a week - they started music class this year) and Gym Play (once a week). Syllabus-wise, they use Letterland to teach Phonics. They have additional enrichment classes (payable as extras) - Art and English Speech & Drama.

I should say the CC is rather strong with their Chinese teaching. My kids can converse pretty well in Mandarin within 6 months of joining the CC.

1 thing I like about CCK branch is that the teacher turnover rate is rather low when compared to other branches. My DD1 has had the same teachers for 2 years in a row which I find is good as my DD1 is learning very well with her current teachers.

Hi snowball32, thanks for your feedback!

I wanted to find out more about clementi branch because while doing a search for its feedback, the search results came back with a lot of job openings for their CC too. So I was also wondering if the teacher retention rate was high. Not sure if a short staffed centre or high turnover rate centre will have professional teachers. I could be wrong as it is a relatively new centre?

          Hi,

In fact, the high teacher t/o rate is happening everywhere. There are indeed many centres have problem with teacher retention. They also have this transfer exercise to transfer kids - N2 - K2 to One-North. Tho’ the environment there is much better than CCK, we decided not to transfer our kids as I also heard a lot of feedback that One-North has frequent changes of teachers.

The most impt is your child and you is comfortable with the Centre and monitor from there.

              Hi,

Any further feedback on the Midview City branch? I am thinking of switching my boy from another centre to the PG next month. Would appreciate if parents of current kids in PG can share your experiences with the teachers. Didn’t get to see the English teacher in action and only saw the Chinese teacher having music and movement classes with them when I visited.

As this is a transfer for my boy, I’d really hope I’ve made the right choice and won’t be transferring again anytime soon. Areas I am particular about include both teachers’ care and patience towards the children, speaks good English/Chinese, are open in their communications with parents, and also try to stick to the curriculum as much as possible so that activities are varied for the kids.

              Thanks!

Hi concernedandconfused mummy, I understand your concern as I previousl transferred my child from another centre which is in this case Cherie hearts which I shall not reveal which branch but I was traumatised so was my child. Thank god my colleague introduced agape little uni at mid view city. I was skeptical but they won me over with the sincerity and efforts of the teachers. Initially my child cried on the first day and I was so worried, but the teachers were so patient and dedicated to the kids and my child a cry baby took only 3days to adapt and enjoyed school so much. Her English and Chinese improved a lot as she came home reciting Chinese poem and sing English songs. I have since transferred kor kor over and I was pleased with his vast progress. He started learning high frequency words at 4 which help him to be able to read very well and from the parent teacher meeting, I saw that his academic work is pretty good, even my husband is amazed. I have introduced my friends in too and they have never looked back since. What I like most is that teachers communicate duty frequently with me and I feel secure knowing that my child is in good hands, which I am sure all parents will agree with me. This is my two cents worth of opinion, but do give Agape at mid view a try.
