Dear parents, I have tried to apply for parent voluntary work since last year. My girl is due for P1 in 2015. She is a 2008 child. However, my application has been turned down many times. It seems that areas which i have offered is not required. For example helping the kids on academic areas, or even admin matters.

I like to check if there is anyone who could share with me what are the areas which may be required by the school.

I know my gynae did PV at NH years ago. So i guess the school may required more specialised contribution from potential PV.

For parents in NH, may I check if our DC is required to go to school on 15 Nov for the prize-giving ceremony ? My DS school last time no need to attend if kids dun have prize.

Table tennis, why? Because there are a couple of students already in STTA youth development squad.

Table tennis training: Mon-3 to 6 pm; Thu 2.30 to 5 pm

Besides table tennis, NHPS Choir Team Clinched Gold Award in Singapore Youth Festival 2012!

Of course, there are also many other areas that some of the students are strong at. You may want to visit the Nan Hua Primary website. There will also be a CCA orientation day roughly on week 2 Sat.

Congratulation! I believe you are staying in the West. Else I would recommend you opt for Nanyang Primary.
