Hmm, my DDs speak to me in Eng as well except during scolding , they will explain themselves in both languages.

i also dont understand...
SAHM Tan, i also spoke mandarin to ze kids when they were babies... In fact ds1 conversed solely in mandarin as a toddler. But the minute he goes to preschool... gone is the ability to speak mandarin! :skeptical: -

Yup, :rotflmao: . I tend to scold them in chinese and ask them to tell them if they understood what I have said. They reply and repeat in english to show that they understood what I have said.

BUT bb one cute little foot not in kindy yet and she speak whatever words she knows, and she knows very little, in Eng
