Classes are big- 20 in the class.

Not much feedback between the parents and teacher- very cold. Like through the termly reports.
Not much different from the school. Not what I want from a tuition centre.

Hmmm, think you have the number wrong. I just called the centre to check and they said 12 to a class and my friends’ kids are there and it is not 20 students a class.

My ds heard from one of her classmates from his math tution class (not Growan) about how good Growan English class was and persuaded him to join. My son wanted to try but in the end he did not switch. When PSLE results came, both my ds scored A* for both Math and Eng but the girl scored A* for math and A for Eng. My son then commented " Lucky, I did not make the switch"

An earlier post did mention that they put up very impressive students’ essay outside the centre.
It could really be the student is already very good.
As a parent, when we look for a tuition class for our children, we really need to know what are we really looking for. From a B to A or A to A* or low A* to high A*. Some of these centres may be good at heping a child from low A* to high A* but may not be skilled to help those who are average and wanting to push higher.
