I probed her to see if any of her classmates or schoolmates got in…she said none from her class but dunno abt other classes though… -

DS said he did not get anything. In fact none of his classmates received anything although they are the top class in a not-that-popular boys' school. I guess that means he did not get in? We are okay about it and have told him that getting through the first round is already an achievement and we are proud of him irregardless. After all, I opted him out for every single external testing and the GEP was the first one because DH said since it is free, go for it.
CONGRATS to those who got in. Keep it up! :rahrah: -
6 from maha bodhi. confirmed 2 boys and 3 girls…the 6th not sure.

DD received envelope on Friday, got into GEP. In a way feeling relieved as we (and others who have interacted with her) have always felt that spark in her since very young, but if she had been streamed based on her SA2 exam results, may not have ended up in strong top class. DD seems a little dsylexic - working can get the right answer, when statement is copied, the numbers flip and its 1/2 wrong. For a sum of 4 digits, she can end up adding the Ones and Tens column, but suddenly decide to minus the Hundreds and Thousands column. English, correcting the passages with spelling errors is a complete nightmare. Yet for ICAS-type exams, end up with High Ds, reads voraciously, remembers facts after reading once and sometimes in a world of her own.
Any parents out there with kids who display similar behaviours?
Yet, in another way, feeling concerned about being whether DD is then able to cope, the reported lack of amount of time schools spend to prep for PSLE, and the results thereafter… -
DD came home with big yellow envelope

Actually, my dd is currently in a GEP school. I’m thinking of switching her to another school. Say, if she didn’t make it to the choice of school, will she be posted back to her current school?

What's the reason for the switch? The other school is better? In what ways?
